The Clever Site is a strategic design and consulting agency that empowers small business owners to do it big online!  We are a woman-owned, small business that provides web design and other digital marketing services, located in Pearland, Texas.  Our target client is the entrepreneurs, startup, and small business owner in the professional services or trade industry i.e. electricians, dentists, accountants, attorneys, therapists, and other professional service providers.   We are looking to offer our services to government agencies and commercial entities whose focus is helping small businesses grow.  We’ve been in business since 2011, but recently relaunched our new brand and website!  Our company is growing.  Come grow with us!

About the Job

Business Development Manager – The job of a business development manager is to identify sales leads, pitch services to new clients, and maintain a good working relationship with new contacts.  As the business development manager, you’ll be concerned with improving and growing the business, by fostering and developing relationships with new customers. You will work to improve profitability through careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets.  This role revolves around good communication, strategic thinking, and follow-up.  If you have great communication skills, are business-minded, and have the drive to succeed, then this role may be for you!

Job Overview:

We are actively seeking a results-driven and strategic Business Development Manager to join our digital marketing firm. The primary focus of this role is to drive business growth by acquiring new small business clients and expanding our revenue streams. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, an understanding of digital marketing services, and the ability to develop and execute effective business development strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target small businesses as potential clients for our digital marketing services.
  • Develop and implement effective lead generation strategies to build a robust client pipeline.
  • Create and execute a comprehensive business development plan to achieve revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through effective communication and exceptional customer service.
  • Network and attend industry events to establish connections and promote our services, when appropriate.
  • Prepare compelling proposals and presentations tailored to the needs of prospective clients.
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing client accounts

Qualifications:

  • High school graduate minimum
  • College Degree is not essential, but preferred
  • Proven track record of at least 3-5 years in business development, sales, or a related role
  • Understanding of digital marketing concepts, tools, and trend
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to develop and execute effective business development plans.
